Ian's First Flight

On Friday, Ian boarded his first airplane to fly from Durham to New York City. It went surprisingly blissfully.

I was proud that we packed lightly enough that we didn't have to check any bags. Still, Doug looked a bit like a pack animal walking through the aiport with our stuff, and we filled 8 trays going through security.
The airport was running smoothly, and we only had to wait for about 20 minutes in the terminal after clearing security:

As travelers with infants, we got to pre-board the plane, and we took off within 15 minutes of boarding. Ian nursed during takeoff to help his ears cope with the pressure changes, and then took a nap:

He woke up halfway through our 61 minute flight and played with toys until we started to descend into NYC. He was a perfect passenger!
