Baby Showers!

We are fortunate to know many fun and generous people, and they celebrated with us at two baby showers - one at work (5/30), one at church (6/8). Now we have pretty much everything we need, including some amazing things that people made for us.

Doug and I once heard a sermon about being "pre-loved". The speaker talked about a used car lot where cars were referred to as being pre-loved. He related this to how he and his wife felt about about their adopted daughter (and then to how God relates to us). We have thought about this when we are thinking about our baby, but even more so when we see all the people around us who are so happy about this child arriving. Sometimes we think other people are more excited than we are. It is great to know that our baby is pre-loved by so many wonderful people, in addition to us.
