He directed me to make him a squish necklace, which we decorated with various imprints. Then he asked for "two necklaces!". Here is the end result:

Ian's Creations
Ian's abilities to create and enjoy complex things has been increasing. He's proud of himself for acquiring new skills (notably lately, the ability to cut with his scissors using one hand instead of one hand on each handle). We've revisited standby toys and done new things with them.
Rather than just rolling playdough (aka "squish") into balls as before, Ian is now interested in cutting out shapes with objects and scissors, and making "worms" (which he still needs a lot of help with). He directed me to make him a squish necklace, which we decorated with various imprints. Then he asked for "two necklaces!". Here is the end result:

He has also gotten quite clever with his Legos, and is keen on understanding how the various connecting mechanisms work. He experiments a lot with putting various types of pieces together. This evening, we made this elaborate station for all the various trucks and accessories together:
