White Christmas in the South

Technically, it was a white Christmas here in Durham, although the snow didn't arrive until it was dark on Christmas day. We woke up to a beautiful scene the morning, and have 5-6 inches of snow now. We walked to church as usual this morning (seemingly one of the few churches that stayed open). We had a small informal service, in which Ian sat with us. He got to go to his first children's time. Here is Doug blazing a trail across the library parking lot on our way to service:

yes, i heard about this! we had 20 in in NJ. can't believe you had so much in NC. did ian love it? if not, am sure zrrbrt and lilo did!
