Ian's Baby Cousin!

Ian has been waiting and waiting for his baby cousin to arrive (as have some other people). He has talked to his cousin, felt his cousin kicking, and given his cousin kisses, all in the belly. Also he came up with a huge list of potential names (Conzuma, WetTomatoes, and StandUpandExercise among my favorite). Early this morning Ian's baby cousin Leopold David finally arrived! Ian wanted to skip school and go see the baby, but we thought Greg and Danielle might need some sleep after laboring through the night. But after work we headed towards Danielle's cob house to see Leo.

Leo's life is already quite unique, because he was born in a unique house. One his mother built herself. It is a striking structure and evokes a Smurfy/fairytale feel:

It has an unusual exterior floating staircase which Ian ascended to find the baby (with help from Greg, to his mother's relief):

Ian brought his new cash register and was emphatic that he would share it with baby Leo, but Leo seemed not quite up to shopping today. But surely the cousins will have many fun times playing together in the future!
