Lukas turned six months old a couple weeks ago. Today I got to spend an entire day at home alone with him for the first time in quite a while (because his nanny has the flu – not a good thing but I made the most of the extra Lukie time). I took the opportunity to get some photos after his mid-morning meal. He’s a cutie!
He has progressed through his life so far extremely smoothly. He goes with the flow and takes care of himself as much as possible. I didn’t think his amazing sleep habits would last into this more interactive stage, but they have. Every time I put him to bed it’s like magic (after years of daily protracted battles with my other favorite little boy). In addition to his self-soothing skills, he’s just figured out how to shake his head back and forth “no, no, no” – and did it intermittently throughout the morning today. He’s getting close to being able to sit on his own and play as shown in the video below:

I love that squeak! More posts please. Lukas already looks bigger than Lulu. It's kind of jarring to realize he's only got two teeth...that he's only 6 mos old in that pic...
