Ian Visits the Farm

Although it was over 90 today, Ian spent a lot of time outside (carefully protected from the sun, don't worry, Grandma). There was a women's hike after church at Duke Forest, which Ian went on with me. He was in the Ergo carrier the whole time, except for a break to nurse and dip his feet into the stream. After this, we went to see Uncle Greg at his building site, as part of the Piedmont Farm Tour weekend.

Here Ian is checking out the gorgeous stone foundation Greg has put down painstakingly with his friend Matt. Each stone was hand selected for its position and chipped to fit perfectly. This foundation is dry stacked, without morter between the courses. Ian was impressed with the workmanship:







Ian also enjoyed the baby goats, who are extremely cute, like him:
