Uncle Day in the Sun

On this Uncle Day, Greg and Ian walked on the greenway to the Life and Science Museum. This was mostly for Greg's benefit, since Ian's a little young to understand the exhibits, but I heard that Ian enjoyed the sights and especially touching the fossils. Before they left on their journey, Ian spent some time exploring a sunny spot in the loft:




Since his hair has turned lighter, Ian is looking more like me and less like Doug than he used to, but I see Doug in him in this photo:




Despite all his nice toys, Ian usually prefers playing with other things, particularly stuff from the kitchen. This weekend he crawled off with the cap to one of his bottles, and carried it around with him for a long time. It's currently his favorite and most versatile toy. He can suck on it, bang it against things, make noises grating the ridges against his teeth, and hold it in his mouth so it covers his nose, like this:

Like many small children, Ian has an interest in the dogs' ears. You can see the look of delight in his eyes, while Zrbrt is nonplussed:
