Conversant

Ian is now conversational. We can actually sit and talk with him, with no other activity necessary. He has a huge vocabulary and is quickly figuring out grammar. He speaks in phrases and sentences, and know interesting constructs like:

Daddy: Later this morning, you, Mommy, and Daddy will all walk together to the pool.
Ian: Zrbrt, too?

or

Mommy: Yes, there are diggers down that street (Ian pointing). We saw them on our walk the other day.
Ian: Doggies. (yes, the doggies went on the walk). Both doggies.

or

Mommy: Ian, what shirt do you want to wear?
Ian: Daddy's shirt! (referring to his toddler size kDy polo shirts).

We knew we wouldn't fully appreciate our child until we could talk with him, and it's lots of fun to see how fast he's learning!
