A Saturday in Durham

Today we had a good time both outside and inside.

After taking Lilo to the vet for her physical and rabies shot, we went for a walk to a local sandwich shop. They have an outdoor eating area, so the dogs went too (photo to come). We enjoyed the walk more than the sandwiches, but the dogs seemed to really enjoy going out on the town. Later, we went down the block where they are restoring the old Durham Bulls stadium. The Bulls have a new stadium a few blocks down. This one was the setting of the movie Bull Durham and will now house the Minor League Baseball museum as well as the games of some local colleges. Doug is determined to teach Ian to throw a ball there. They have just laid down the sod and are finishing things up. It looks very idyllic. Ian enjoyed grabbing the fence as we watched:

Ian had a good time hanging out with Daddy at home this morning. As is typical of Doug, he took the opportunity to create "sweet moments" for Ian and Zrbrt:

After resisting solid foods for a while, Ian is eating all kinds of things these days. Tonight it was peas, courtesy of Uncle Greg:
