Ian has a lot of hair for a boy his age. After his first brief haircut at the salon I go to, we've been cutting his hair with Doug's beard trimmer at home. It is hard to cut the hair of a boy who wants to turn around and look at what you're doing! So, while we've kept it from getting totally out of control, it was very thick and always needing trimming. So I took him to a local salon that has a reputation for being good with children. He got a very short haircut, and now looks very much like a little boy rather than a baby.
Here he is sitting the chair all by himself, on a booster seat:

He really went along with the whole thing very well, and the stylist was impressed with his patience (and kudos to her for being entertaining and patient with her slightly squirmy charge):

I'm glad we got his hair cut short, to even everything up. I think next time I might have them keep it a little longer. We'll see how he likes it when he's old enough to tell us!

Wow! He is amazing. Abby still screams bloody murder.
I kind of liked it long. But I've always liked long hair on boys, girls, babies. This looks almost military. But it certainly does make him look a lot older. And perhaps even more like his dad. He certainly looks very cheerful.
