Little Boy Party

Yesterday afternoon Doug, Ian, and I went to a backyard party hosted by one of Doug's co-workers. We know the host has a son Ian's age, so we figured it would be a child-friendly party (although Ian has also enjoyed many parties that are not specifically child-friendly!). We had no idea how right we were. We were the first to arrive, followed by a family with a 6 year old girl and a 4 month old boy. After that, every single couple who arrived had in tow a boy between the ages of 11 and 15 months. There were 8 in all. (We later determined that this was not a coincidence, and that these people had become friends through birth class and other baby-related connections). There were two baby pools and plenty of yard space to explore for this gaggle of small boys, dressed in nothing but swim diapers. As you can imagine, Ian had a blast, and slept soundly last night!
