He checked out the insects:

He also saw some butterflies in the butterfly conservatory:
And he found some nice boy-sized nooks and crannies to sit in:
And perhaps his favorite activity of the day was the bath he took while I was at an evening reception. Notice the highly agitated water, the product of lots of splashing (also note that we discovered a waterproof Cheerios container, always a good thing to have on hand):

It was fun to spend some time with Ian. He is very happy and very social. He seems to get along quite well with other children, sometimes watching them and sometimes joining in with what they are doing. He shares toys easily. It would be interesting to know what he is saying. Perhaps other children understand. One time he was standing, pointing, and making loud talking that one boy apparently interpreted as directions to move over from where he was. Too bad we can't see him regularly.
