Ian's Blue Chair

When Grandma and Grandpa Allen left last week, they left here four things that Ian likes. Dried apples, two books that we've had to read many, many times this week, stickers, and a little blue chair. This chair used to be yellow and used to belong to a little girl named Elaine. Grandpa stripped it down and repainted it for Ian. It fits quite nicely at our coffee table, where he can sit on it to do things. In general he prefers to move it around the house, climb on it, or sit on it backwards, but I trust that in the future he will spend more time sitting in it the normal way while he is drawing at the table. I was able to convince Ian to sit forwards in the chair long enough to get some pictures:

Here he is with his elfin Ian grin:

And then the acrobatics started -- here he has one foot up on the corner of the chair and the other dangling in mid-air:

This photos also happen to give a nice view of some of our hardwood floors. These were the original heart-of-pine and were recently restored. They are one of our favorite parts of the house.
