Ian's Long Trip - Travelling

This trip involved a phenomenal amount of travelling, by many different methods. Of driving, flying, and training (hmm, there's not an equivalent word for trains), train was definitely the best. It's very relaxed compared to flying, and it allows for movement during travel, a big plus for a toddler. Ian and I walked through the train cars a lot and he learned to hit the open door button between cars with his foot. Here is Ian with his junior conductor hat in Albany, waiting for his first train ride with Daddy:

Here he is in his seat, yelling "All Aboard", right after we got on:

The dining car was fun to visit and Joey liked it too:

And here we are about to board the train for the third time, from Albany to NYC:

And here, the best way to travel in the car, but not one often achieved:

I don't have any photos of our airport adventure, which attests to the relative lack of freedom compared to the train. I spent all my time keeping Ian in line and convincing him that he must wear his seat belt for the whole 30 minutes between when the sign went on and when we actually started taking off. We'll be looking for more opportunities to travel by train in the future!
