The recent silence on the blog has been due to our move (not so easy with a toddler), and the coincidental preceding failure of our internet upload capability at the loft. So there's a backlog of photos, but we'll start with this video, taken yesterday. Ian continues to understand more and more of what's going on, and to pick up more words. Of course "no" is on every toddler's list. Here Ian uses it constructively as we read the "Where's Spot?" book (Spot is a puppy whose mother is looking for him, but finds many other animals in the house first). I read the question part, Ian reads the "no, no" part . . .

I love the way he looks at you for approval even before he opens the piano to find the hippo inside! He clearly delights in your attention as much as saying, 'No no!'
