Ian and I often Skype with Grandma and Grandpa Allen. Our skyping experience has changed over time. When Ian was very small, he didn't understand that the people in the screen were of interest, and so did not participate much. Then he became much more aware of what was going on, imitating noises, reacting to peekaboo, etc., and Skyping was more rewarding. Now Ian is such a busy boy that he can't sit still in front of the computer to Skype. Here are just a few of the things Ian was doing while we were skyping this morning:
In response to Grandpa hiding behind his hat, Ian wore his green hat in the silliest possible fashion:

He also had many things to do in the living room. In addition to making a valiant attempt to fish Lilo's bone out from under the sofa with the kitchen ladle, he was working on moving the laundry in and out of the basket:

And here he is investigating his Burt's Bees ointment container, having brought the stool Uncle Greg made him over to the table for this purpose:
