iPhone!

Doug has lovingly used his Apple gift card to upgrade my iPhone (leaving him with the boring old iPhone), which has several new features, but one that I care much more about than the rest - video! It is hard to get good videos of a toddler who goes from one activity to another faster than I can get the camera out and started. I expect to have more success with my phone (although hope to continue to get longer, higher quality videos with the real video camera). The nicest thing is that I can take video, edit it, and post to YouTube directly from my phone. So below was my first test video with the new phone. It features Ian using his word of the week (Please), which he hopes will get him things he would not otherwise get (it is very hard to say no to a small boy who is saying please, but alas it still must be done). Once he can tell that we understand his request and are denying it, please is his next tactic. Here he is using to try to get my shiny new phone. You will see Uncle Greg (who we happily welcome back to NC for a few weeks, this time with more beard than before!) make a valiant attempt to distract him. It entertains him, but you will see that he does not forget what he wanted:

I would have a hard time saying no to him too! I'm looking forward to more video (I've finally given in and will watch moving media on my computer)
