Long Trip

Ian and I have arrived in Syracuse. We had an unexpectedly long trip. The plan was to fly out of RDU at noon, switch planes in JFK, and arrive in Syracuse at 3:30. Our first flight was delayed by almost 2 hours -- not due to the snowstorm, due to someone locking the cockpit door and them not being able to get in. This caused us to miss our connection but, "no problem", they told me, we're on the next flight to Syracuse, leaving JFK at 10:45. Ugh. So Ian and I spent 8 lovely hours exploring the Jet Blue terminal at JFK. He did ok a lot of the time, but had several major breakdowns, partly because he was extremely tired. We finally arrived in Syracuse at midnight and he got to Grandma and Grandpa's house ready to play. Eventually we wound him down and got some sleep. Hopefully the flights home will run a bit more smoothly!
