For a while I was having a terrible time getting Ian to go to sleep at night or for a nap when Doug wasn't around. We've since solved that by a two minute period in which I locked him in his room (during which he pounded on the door saying: "I'm angry! I'm frustrated! It's stuck! No lock the door Mommy!"). I opened the door and told him I would leave it open as long as he agreed to stay in his room. Since then things are going much better. Before that, we sometimes ended up with unusual arrangements, because it's the only thing I could get to work. Here is one day that he took his afternoon nap on the floor of his room:
