Ian and Zrbrt

Many people are interested to know how our two pit bulls are adjusting to the baby. Lilo is occasionally interested in sniffing him, but mostly ignores him. Zrbrt is more curious, and would like to lick him all over. We have settled on allowing her to lick his feet every once and a while when we give her permission. But here she snuck one past us while we were distracted taking photos:

And she also got on his blanket, which is not supposed to be allowed. She seems to think it should be okay for this blanket, since it is covered with doggies:

This blanket was made for Ian by our friend Leslie.  It's nice because it's very big and sturdy, so it's good for letting him explore on the floor (he can scootch himself across it if he has something to push his feet into).  And, we like it because it's covered with doggies (even when Zrbrt is not there).

Since I was present at the above photo shoot/tummy time session, I feel obliged to attest to the fact that Zrbrt was incredibly gentle with the kisses she bestowed on Ian. It is really an incredible testament to all the hard work E and D have put in that these shelter dogs have adjusted so well to the baby and are so solidly trained. Good work guys!
