First Father's Day

To celebrate Doug's first father's day this weekend, Ian and I spent some time playing together so Daddy could relax and read, and then we all went down the street to the park for some fun Daddy and Ian time.

Daddys are especially good for really fun things that Mommy might not think are the best idea, like swinging high in the baby swing:

Although in previous weeks Ian happily climbed all over this playground equipment, on this day he was cautious and was happier hanging out here at the top of the slide near Daddy and watching some bigger boys play:

On this trip to the park, Ian got the hang of the springy riding toy for the first time, and threw his weight around to make it move back and forth:

All in all, we had a nice peaceful and relaxing Father's Day weekend!
