Up the Stairs

It's always interesting to see what activities Ian finds most interesting when left to his own devices. They only occasionally have to do with his toys, and are much more often related to exploring objects around the house. Here is an example of a trip up the stairs earlier today:

To start with, Ian was sitting in one of the doggie beds. He is really into sitting on things these days, and has found the dog beds to be convenient places to sit or lie down (albeit a little gross). He originally sat down to look at one of his library books, but then found this comb and hair pick in our swim bag and decided to carry those around instead:

After sitting and looking up the stairs from his seat, he contemplates going up:

Looking to see how far he has come:

At the top, inspecting his objects. (Picture him holding this comb out and saying "Dis.")

Then, for reasons only a toddler can comprehend, he decided to keep the comb pressed against his right eye at all times:

And finally found it more convenient to hold it in his mouth:

What a silly little guy.
