Ian and Elaine really seem to have hit it off. Elaine seems to be settling in well; nursing is going smoothly, she seems to take to the whole mothering thing naturally, and Ian has so far been quite agreeable - sleeping for several hours at a shot, doing lots of cool stuff, crying for just a few seconds at a time to let us know it's time to feed him or move him upright so he can burp. He also farts quite a bit, and rather grandly, in my opinion. In case you were wondering.
Some people really swear by the Boppy pillow. Elaine has found it useful, both to support her arms during nursing, and then to let him sit up afterward, like this.

We decided to dress Ian in something blue today, just to show how manly (boyly?) he is.

Thanks again for all these great photos and for sharing your life online for those of us far away folk. I love the shots of eb, and I'm thrilled she is doing so well, but I expected no less. The shot of Zrbrt licking Ian is priceless. Seems like even the doggies are adapting well. It's so much fun to check back and see three new posts! Thanks!
