Ian's Activities

Ian has been up to all sorts of things while we're here in New York . . .

He likes to watch the little waterfall in the stream that runs into the pond in the backyard:



Using the jumper continues to be a favorite, and he's getting better at bouncing in it:



Ian is trying hard to roll over, and we're expecting him to succeed any day (but we've been thinking this for a while):

Ian's interest in grabbing things continues to grow. When he's sitting, he likes to grab something for support. Here, he found Grandpa's skin to be a convenient handhold:



Here he is hanging on to Joey, who was a favorite of mine and Greg's, and who we recently rescued from the basement:



Toes are one of his favorite things to grab - he's getting close to pulling one into his mouth:



Ian has had a renewed interest in the pacifier lately. He'll suck on it for a little while, but then he slides his thumb through the ring and pulls it out. This results in him holding it sideways, and he can't get it positioned correctly to get back in his mouth (although he tries!). He doesn't want help in getting it straightened out, but he seems happy just to practice:



By far the most common thing to put in his mouth is his hands. He seems to be teething, and has his hands stuffed into his mouth almost all the time:
