In the photo below, Ian and I are caught between works of Homer - we finished the Iliad in the original Greek this morning, and are planning to relax and unwind with an English translation of the Odyssey this evening. In the meantime, we are reading that classic of children's literature entitled - um - "The (pick an adjective at random: Lazy, Cute, Busy, Friendly, Sleepy) (pick an animal at random: Caterpillar, Bee, Bear, Monkey, Two-Toed Tree Sloth, Treasury Department Official)"

Speaking of Treasury Department officials, the U.S. government decided a couple of days ago to take over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. So, Ian, if you are reading this, there's a good chance that you have a solid U.S. government-backed mortgage on a solid U.S. government-backed house where you can chill and relax between 14 hour shifts at a sweat shop making tube socks (15 pair for a yuan).
All right, enough of my ranting about the excesses of the government. Let's all take simple pleasure in Ian's journey of self discovery, exemplified by the picture below:

Here, Ian is clearly pondering the meaning of life; he believes that gazing into the mirror serves as a metaphor for introspection in general. He endeavors to live the examined life. Or, at the very least, he attempts to hold his head up and say "goo" once in a while.
